about

Marissa Steinberger

My work has always focused on discovering ways to nurture my body, heart, and mind, then sharing that knowledge with others. My health and life challenges have been my greatest teachers. Struggling with health as a child, led me to a naturopath who introduced me to the healing properties of food and herbs, as well as meditation and visualization—tools that became foundational in my life. It was the first time I saw the connection between my inner world and my physical health.

Growing up around spiritual centers and healing practitioners in New Mexico, I developed an appreciation for ritual, spirituality, meditation, music, and all forms of healing. Later, my experiences at Plum Village with Thich Nhat Hanh and time spent in India deepened my meditation and spiritual practice. My first career was in wellness as a massage therapist and esthetician. I trained in sound healing in 2007, which I found particularly transformative. It bridged various aspects of my life, transcended belief systems, and promoted relaxation and stress relief. I started leading sound meditation groups in 2009. My passion for the healing arts led me to pursue an education in the scientific foundations focusing on the body and brain.

Today, I integrate my education in Biopsychology, sound healing, meditation, and wellness coaching to empower others in their self-care. I  host sound ceremonies, HeartMath and breath work sessions for groups to explore how the inner world can impact stress relief and stress resilience fostering holistic well-being.

My inspiration lies at the intersection of science and holistic health. I see data not just as numbers but as a source of inspiration that informs our behaviors. My own daily practice weaves loving kindness, sound as regulation,  mindfulness, and coming back to the heart, into every facet of my life. The experiences of marriage and motherhood have become a  labratory for me, opportunities to test my practices in real time. I aspire to be of service, holding close the heartfelt prayer: May all beings be happy, May all beings be well.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.” —Viktor Frankl
